IBM ThinkPad 600

When my Mum said she had an old laptop at home somewhere gathering dust and that she thought it looked like my IBM, I got quite excited (I am a geek and I get especially excited about IBM ThinkPads)...
Sure enough, it was an IBM, an old ThinkPad 600 in pretty decent condition!
I couldn't wait to boot it but hit this error screen, it's actually an awesome error screen, as you move the cursor, the duck flaps its wings! They don't make them like they used to! In fact, IBM don't make them at all any more but hey...
Here's a little extract from an archived review of the IBM ThinkPad 600 on CNET:
A 'portable' computer shouldn't make you lean to the side as you carry it. But you shouldn't have to sacrifice computing power for portability, either. The solution? IBM's ThinkPad 600 series, which offers fast processing, large color displays and top-notch multimedia features in a notebook weighing only five pounds. This ThinkPad 600 contains a screaming fast mobile Pentium II processor.
I hope to get Ubuntu installed on this baby so I can experience its "screaming fast mobile Pentium II processor" for myself :o)
